Lighthouses ⎮ Family Workshop
Sat, Apr 6 from 10am - 12pm
Have you ever wondered how ships navigate a trip onto shore? At night, when boats are nearing a rocky shore or another ship, our lighthouses serve as a traffic light among the waves. During the day, we can admire the beauty of lighthouses that are all unique. What will your lighthouse look like?
Designed with younger children in mind (ages 5-10 with chaperone), our family workshops encourage children and their caregivers to explore architecture through hands-on activities each month. Workshops begin with an exploration of exciting examples of architecture and activities that highlight the design process. Then, the kids are off—designing and building their own structures in a whirlwind two-hour workshop that culminates in a group presentation.
Parents/guardians must reserve adult chaperone tickets in addition to purchasing tickets for their children. If you encounter any difficulties reserving both types of ticket, please email info@seattlearchitecture.org for assistance.
We offer need-based scholarships for all SAF Family Programs. For details about scholarships please email info@seattlearchitecture.org.
