Skyscrapers ⎮ Family Workshop
Sat, Mar 1, 2025 from 10am - 12pm
Seattle is home to some very tall buildings. Building tall can help give more people places to work and live without taking up more space on the ground. In this workshop we will look at skyscrapers in Seattle and around the world for inspiration before we create our own tall buildings.
Designed with younger children in mind (ages 5–12 with a chaperone), our family workshops encourage children and their caregivers to explore architecture through hands-on activities each month. Workshops begin with an exploration of exciting examples of architecture and activities that highlight the design process. Then, the kids are off—designing and building their own structures in a whirlwind two-hour workshop that culminates in a group presentation.
Parents/guardians must reserve adult chaperone tickets in addition to purchasing tickets for their children. If you encounter any difficulties reserving both types of ticket, please email info@seattlearchitecture.org for assistance.
We offer no-questions-asked scholarships for all SAF Family Workshops. Email info@seattlearchitecture.org to inquire.
